Becoming involved with G-DNA has opened doors to numerous opportunities and valuable experiences. It has exposed me to knowledge and insights that have truly transformed me, both personally and professionally.

Listening and watching the 2025 conference videos tells me GDNA is the place to be!

Through the unwavering commitment, motivation and support of the volunteers of Ghanaian -Diaspora Nursing alliance (G-DNA) in Northern Region of God Mrs Sylvia P. Adjetey, I gained a confidence and a strong will to support G-DNA vision, which is to foster sustainable local-global collaboration between nurses in Ghana and the Diaspora to advance nursing education and improve health outcomes in Ghanaians. This resonates deeply with me.

G-DNA is a wonderful platform for exposure and professionalism advancement.

Attending the conference was a transformative experience for me, as I approached it with an open mind. I found the entire program to be delightful and filled with important lessons. Firstly, I overcame my fear of public speaking, particularly in front of those I perceive as more knowledgeable or accomplished. The conference empowered me to embrace leadership roles, and I've noticed positive changes in my approach since taking on the position of unit manager at my facility.

It was an epic event, though it was my first time attending a conference of this kind, but I felt welcomed. Honestly, I really loved it and I look forward to attending the subsequent ones.

I have been benefitted so much from my association with G-DNA. During the July 2024 networking event, i was particularly encouraged to apply for the role of an RCN representative after listening to the special guest of honor, Dr. Cecilia Anim, who was a former RCN president. I applied and got the role of an RCN steward.Almost done with my competencies and will be practicing soon. I have also received immense support in preparing for a job role in research nursing by Angela and Olu as I have interest in it and applied for a position in that field. Even though I didn’t get the offer, i do appreciate the support and recommendations during my preparation.

Got personal help in my job application with my personal statement so promptly and timely. Also got personal advice in certain life changing decisions. They made time for me and that is simply amazing
